Switzerland v Croatia
(7 October 2020, 19.45 GMT)
This is a game without the likes of Germany, Spain, France or even Brazil, but this is still a game I’m looking forward to watching it. The hosts have been present at most of the recent tournaments while Croatia even got to the finals of the World Cup of 2018. Unfortunately for them, France was too strong for them in the final (4-2). Both these teams hope to bring an end to their two-game run without winning when they meet in the AFG Arena.
Funny enough, but Croatia faced France another time. Earlier this month, they played for the Nations League with France winning once again with 4-2. Their other match in the Nations League also ended in a defeat with Portugal winning 4-1 against them. The winning mood has to return as quickly as possible at Croatia, because after this friendly are the games against France and Sweden for the Nations League and with the possibility of relegation, Croatia can’t afford to lose many more games. Switzerland currently only has one point after two games in their respective Nations League group, but they did manage to keep Germany at bay in their last outing (1-1).
Both teams will want to change things around before their competitive matches and I think Croatia will manage to do so. Win for the visitors have great odds of 2.50 and upwards.
This is our findings. Switzerland v Croatia
