Sheffield – Fulham
(18 October 2020, 12.00 GMT)
Last season, Sheffield United were surprisingly promoted to the English Premier League and not a few people thought that they could survive and avoid relegation in their first season and I was (to be honest) one of them.
I do rate manager Wilder highly, but his team wasn’t and still really isn’t of the required level, but he is performing wonders with his. They even got to the top half position after their first season, but now they are struggling.
A lot! Four games, 0 points and only the one goal scored. However, this particular fixture could end up rather positively for them since their opponents out of London are the only team in the whole Premier League who’ve started this season even worse. Four defeats and a goal difference of -8 is what Fulham currently has and realistically, I don’t think they’ll be playing Premier League football next season.
Despite their own troubles and abysmal form, the level of play from Sheffield is still miles ahead of that from Fulham and I don’t think that Sheffield will have any trouble putting a few behind goalkeeper Areola. That’s the reason I’m going with -0.50 Sheffield with odds of 2.08
