Poland v Finland
(7 October 2020, 19.45 GMT)
When I see Poland, I immediately think of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich and I’m certain that the majority thinks that when seeing their name. Which is logical, we are talking about – in my humble opinion – the best striker of the world at this moment.
It was ridiculous that the awards were cancelled due to the Coronavirus. Because the Polish legend deserved many of them after the year he just had. The 32-year old striker is however a bit fatigued lately. And he even missed the Bundesliga game against TSG Hoffenheim a while back, which was his first game not starting for Munich since September of 2018.
With him leading the way, Poland won their last game against Finland back in 2016 with a huge 5-0. In the last four encounters with their opponents of today. Poland have won every single one of them.
And here comes the crazy part: they didn’t concede a single goal in the process. Finland aren’t the worst side in the world, they have quite some players who make an considerable impact at their respective clubs. But not one is of the insane level of Lewandowski. Overall, the difference is quality is too great for Finland to stand a chance here, that’s why I’m going with Poland to win, with odds of 1.72.
