Last season, Nottingham Forest lost out on promotion play-off after consecutive mistakes from manager Sabri Lamouchi.
The head coach started this season and was even helped out with over a dozen new players, but he has finally been fired after a streak of extremely poor football and terrible results. The fact that the Board gave him a few games to screw up another campaign baffles me, because his playing-style has hurt Nottingham in the long run. His successor is a manager I do rate highly in Chris Hughton.
Blackburn v Nottingham Cont.
He has experience at the top level and knows how to run a side trying to win promotion. However, his first game is one where he’s without several players, not enough training practice due to the Nations League and facing a team which is in great form.
Blackburn Rovers are currently sixth on the table, but they already faced Bournemouth in their first game. Blackburn has so many great players from Dolan to Brereton while they also have lots of experience in their team. I think they actually have a shot in getting to the promotion play-offs.
Nottingham does too if Hughton can get things going, but this takes time.
That’s why I’m going with Blackburn -0.50 with odds of:
